Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church’s 3rd Annual 4th of July Celebration
Sunday, June 29, 2025 | Starts at 6 P.M. at Bostwick Sod Farm in Bostwick! 🇺🇸

You're invited to an evening full of fun, food, and fellowship as we celebrate Independence Day together! The event begins at 6 P.M. and will feature live music by @nolanbrownmusic , exciting kids’ entertainment provided by @burgessevents, and a variety of food trucks along with Kona Ice.

We’ll end the night with a fireworks show at dark that the whole family will enjoy! 🎆 and don’t miss your chance to win one of our exciting raffle prizes!

There is no cost to attend, so bring your lawn chairs, invite your family and friends, and come celebrate with us!

📣 Vacation Bible School Registration is Now Open at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church!

We want to invite you to join us for an exciting week of Bible lessons, music, crafts, games, and fun with friends! Vacation Bible School is a wonderful opportunity for kids to grow in their faith and make lasting memories!

📅 Dates: Tuesday–Thursday, June 3rd–5th
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Ages: For children who have completed Pre-K through completed 6th grade

Pre-registration is now open! Free T-shirts are available for pick-up at the church after your child has been registered. PM us to set up a convenient day and time to pick up your child’s shirt. T-shirt sizes and colors are limited — first registered, first choice!

Today during our worship service, we had the joy of honoring our amazing graduates — one college graduate and nine high school graduates — as they prepare to take their next steps. We are so proud of their accomplishments and excited for what God has in store for them!

We had an incredible evening out on Lake Oconee for our jugging trip! 🎣With families, friends, and plenty of fish, it was a fun-filled time of fellowship, laughter, and enjoying God’s beautiful creation together!

Join Us for Wednesday Night Activities at 6:30 P.M.! This week, our GA’s (Girls in Action, 1st-6th grade) learned about Annie Armstrong and how her Easter Offering supports missionaries across North America and Canada. 🌍✝️

Some of our young adults had a wonderful time together this past Saturday in Covington at a Firearms Safety Course! They learned valuable skills about firearm safety, proper handling, and responsible use.

We had a wonderful time at our first Mission Friends on Wednesday night! 🎉🙌 We celebrated our first night with a pizza party with Mrs. Roxane, Miss Emily, and Miss Natalee! We’re excited to now offer Mission Friends every Wednesday at 6:30 P.M. for ages 2 through 5 years old.

While the little ones learn and grow, we also have Bible Study for adults and GA’s, RA’s, and Acteens for our older children. There’s something for everyone—come join us next week!

As we step into a new week, we’re excited for all that’s happening at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church! Here’s a look at our weekly schedule and some upcoming events you won’t want to miss.

Kicking off the week’s activities is the Men’s Breakfast tomorrow, Sunday, February 15th at 8 A.M! We’re also looking forward to our Ladies’ Fellowship on Tuesday, a wonderful time for fellowship for our ladies.

Just a reminder—we will not have mission groups this week due to winter break, but will still have Prayer Meeting at 6:30 P.M. Have a blessed and joyful week ahead! 💙

We can’t wait to worship with you at church tomorrow! ⛪️ Join us as we welcome Pastor Justin Mahaffey for his first Sunday with us! We are overjoyed to welcome Pastor Justin Mahaffey and his family to Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church. Justin will begin to serve as our pastor, and we are blessed to have him leading our congregation. He is married to Brianna, and together they have one son and two daughters. Justin is a graduate of the University of Georgia and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and previously pastored in Tennessee. He has a deep passion for teaching, equipping, and encouraging people to grow in their faith and love for Christ.

We invite you to join us this Sunday as Pastor Justin preaches his first sermon with us. After the service on Sunday, February 23rd, we will celebrate with a welcome luncheon, giving everyone a chance to meet and fellowship with the Mahaffey family.We look forward to this new season of faith and growth together—come be a part of all of the wonderful happenings at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church in Bostwick! 🙏

The GMBC ladies had a wonderful time at our monthly fellowship on Tuesday night! We enjoyed delicious soups and sandwiches, followed by a heartfelt devotion led by Marlee Preston on the importance of prayer. Afterward, we all had the joy of creating our own prayer journals! We’d love for you to join us next time—there’s always a seat at the table for you!

Ladies! Join us for our January Ladies’ Fellowship tomorrow night, January 28th, at 6:30 P.M! Bring your favorite soup & sandwiches and come have a wonderful time of fellowship! 🥣

We had a beautiful Christmas Eve service at Gibbs Memorial Baptist, sharing the Lord’s Supper and celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. What a precious time of worship and reflection!

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, the last Sunday of 2024, as we gather one more time to praise Him before stepping into the new year. Join us—there’s no better way to begin 2025 than in His presence!

Friday night, our young adults had fun at their Christmas party at @jackscreekfarm! 🎉🎄Thank you Damon Malcom, Russell Thrasher, and Jeremy Mabry for cooking & everyone who helped!

We had a wonderful time yesterday at our Christmas breakfast with our church family! 🍳 It was a great way to kick-off this Christmas week!

We would love for you to join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24th at 5:30 PM. This will be a short and meaningful time of reflection as we celebrate the true reason for the season—Jesus Christ. We hope to see you there! 🌟

Here’s a car-load of blessings! 🙌 Our Men’s Ministry at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church came together to collect these gifts for hurricane victims in North Carolina. Thank you to everyone who contributed! Please continue to keep those affected in your prayers as these gifts make their way to bring hope and comfort.

Christmas is almost here! 🎄 Join us this Sunday at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church as we come together to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. 🌟

We will begin the morning with a Christmas breakfast at 9 A.M. in our Family Life Center, followed by Sunday School. Our special song service will start at 11 A.M., filled with worship and praise.

We would love to have you and your family join us for this meaningful time of celebration. All are welcome!

On Sunday at the Brotherhood Breakfast, Brother Ronnie Long from Apalachee Baptist Church shared a wonderful message from Matthew 4. It was a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and spiritual growth!

Today’s Children’s Sunday School lesson was on the birth of Jesus, so they celebrated with a meaningful birthday party for Jesus. 🎉 The children engaged in various fun activities, including crafts, a nativity scavenger hunt, a kids video on Jesus’ birth, and singing ‘Go Tell it on the Mountain’ and ‘Happy Birthday’ to Jesus. They also enjoyed cupcakes and ice cream before closing in prayer. So much fun with Mrs. Laura, Mrs. Angela, Mrs. Roxane, & Ms. Emily!

The GMBC ladies had a wonderful Christmas get-together on Tuesday night! 🎄 Everyone brought their favorite Christmas dish, Mrs. Faye shared about all of the wonderful women a part of Jesus’ geneology, and we ended the night with a fun candle exchange game!

What a wonderful gathering last month for our GMBC Ladies! 💜 If you are looking for a group of ladies to connect & grow spiritually with, we would love if you would join us tomorrow, November 19th, at 6:30 P.M. for our Friendsgiving! 🦃 Come and enjoy fellowship at our Family Life Center. We hope to see you there!

Bring the whole family for an evening of fall fun at Gibbs Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, October 27th at 5:30 P.M. This year, we’re coming together with Bostwick United Methodist Church for an even bigger and better time! Dress up, enjoy trunk-or-treat, and join us for fun and fellowship!
